A judge has reserved his decision in the case of a Co Cork crèche owner charged with eight counts of breaching childcare regulations.
The allegations include charges that the crèche was insufficiently staffed to care for the number of children being looked after on the premises.
Hazel O'Mahony of Tiny Tots Creche, Killeagh, Co Cork, denies the eight breaches of the Child Care (Pre-School Services) Regulations 2006.
Reserving his decision, Judge John O'Neill said he wanted to carefully consider the evidence given in the case.
He said there was clear conflict between the evidence given by the HSE inspectors and Ms O'Mahony and her staff.
He added that it appeared there was also tension and possibly even resentment during the HSE inspection of the creche in November 2012.
The case was adjourned until 17 October to fix a date for judgement.
