Around 500 people have attended an anti-austerity march organised by the Dublin Council Of Trade Unions.

Participants included youth groups, community groups and trade unions SIPTU and the Civil Public and Services Union.

Protesters marched through the city centre before a rally at the GPO.

Gardaí warned of possible traffic disruption around O'Connell Street and the Liffey quays.
