Four men have been arrested after a series of bomb hoaxes caused traffic chaos in Belfast.
They were detained when a car was stopped in the Andersonstown area of the city, close to the M1 motorway, part of which was closed for a time because of the security alerts.
The four suspects, aged between 26 and 53, were detained for questioning.
The alert was an elaborate hoax.
Police searched a number of properties in west Belfast as part of the investigation.
