A woman in her 30s who was arrested along with another woman in her 60s and a man in his 50s in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found on a beach in Co Meath has been released without charge.

A file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The second woman and the man remain in custody at Drogheda Garda Station.

The partially clothed body of 44-year-old Audrius Butkus was found on Mornington Beach on Tuesday morning.

He was originally from Lithuania, but had been living in Ireland for four years.

A post-mortem examination found that Mr Butkus was stabbed several times and sustained serious head injuries.
