A man is being treated for hypothermia in Sligo General Hospital after his boat ran onto rocks near Streedagh Point in Sligo earlier today.

The man, who had been reported to emergency services as overdue at 3pm, was found in the water.

He was airlifted by the Coastguard helicopter to hospital.

RNLI lifeboats from Sligo and Bundoran also took part in the search.
