A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting on Glasnevin Avenue in Dublin on Monday morning.

The man was detained this evening and is being held at Ballymun Garda Station.

A 52-year-old man was shot as he cycled along a footpath and was found lying in the driveway of a house.

A second man was later found with an apparent gunshot wound in Hillcrest Park, which is a short distance from the first scene.
