Four held after Dublin cannabis seizures

Four men have been arrested after more than 24kg of cannabis was seized in three operations in Dublin.

Three of the men were detained after gardaí stopped a car on the Kylemore Road in Ballyfermot and found 1kg of cannabis in the vehicle.

The men, who range in age from their 20s to 50s, are being questioned at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

The fourth man was arrested when a van was stopped on the Clonsilla Road. A search of the van yielded 8.5kg of cannabis.

The man, who is in his late 30s, is being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

Another 15kg of cannabis was found during a follow-up search of a building on Dale Road in Stillorgan.

A sum of cash was found in a search of a separate house.

Gardaí said the drugs have an estimated street value of €490,000.
