A fire at a storage facility at Belview Port in Waterford has been brought under control.

Five units of Waterford and Kilkenny fire services attended the blaze at Southeast Port Services.

The fire broke out just before 10am and a number of diesel tanks went on fire.

Gardaí cordoned off the area and set up a 200-metre exclusion zone.

The facility was evacuated and there were no reports of injuries.

The N29 link road was closed to traffic.

Firefighters said mainly industrial products were destroyed in the blaze.
