A woman in her early 50s has died in a road crash in Co Meath.

The woman died after the moped she was driving collided with a car at Kilberry, Navan at around 9.30pm last night.

Her body was taken to Navan General Hospital where a post-mortem examination was to be carried out.

The woman driver of the car was not injured.

The road was closed for a forensic examination but has since re-opened.
