Gardaí in Louth say the cause of a house fire, which has claimed the life of a 68-year-old man, is not believed to be suspicious.

The deceased, who was living on his own, was found in the sitting room of the house on Hand Street, Drogheda, Co Louth.

He was originally from Scotland.
