Two men have been arrested following an armed robbery in Dublin.

The raid took place at the Lidl supermarket on Grange Road in Rathfarnham at around 8.50pm last night.

Three men armed with a baseball bat and a handgun threatened staff before escaping with a sum of money in a waiting car.

Two men, aged 23 and 33, were arrested shortly afterwards and are being held at Tallaght Garda Station.

Money and a handgun were also recovered.

No one was injured during the incident.
