Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has appealed to the public to respect visiting restrictions to help contain an outbreak of norovirus.

There are also restrictions at St Joseph's Hospital, Raheny, and the Raheny Community Nursing Unit this Bank Holiday weekend.

The public is asked to avoid visits to the Accident and Emergency Department or to avoid visiting patients unless absolutely essential.
