Gardaí have appealed for information following the recovery of a man's body from the river Liffey on Monday.

The 25-year-old was last seen while socialising with friends at a floating music venue on the River Liffey in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was reported missing by family members after he failed to return home.

Gardaí are appealing for information from anyone who was in the vicinity of Sir John Rogerson's Quay and Britain Quay between 3am and 8am on Saturday 27 April.

They are also appealing to anyone who was on board the venue to contact them.

A number of witnesses have come forward and are assisting with the investigation.
