Murder inquiry after man's body found at Tipperary farmWednesday 01 May 2013 22.05
A murder inquiry has been launched following the discovery of man's body at the rear of a house in Co Tipperary yesterday.
Gardaí say the man has not yet been formally identified.
A post mortem examination has taken place at Waterford Regional Hospital.
Relatives of Bobby Ryan, 52, who has been missing for more than two years, were told by gardaí that it was probably him.
However, it may take DNA analysis before a formal identification can be made.
The body was found yesterday afternoon in an underground storage pit for liquids.
It was found in the Fawnagown area between Tipperary and Bansha, not far from where Mr Ryan had lived.
