German airline Lufthansa cancelled dozens of flights to and from Ireland and the UK due to strike action.

The airports affected are Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf and Hamburg.

The one-day strike is connected to an ongoing pay dispute.

The airline has said it expects only around 20 of its 1,700 scheduled flights will now operate.

Lufthansa has said customers can change their flights free of charge.
