A 77-year-old man has died following a fire at his home in Kilbehenny, Co Limerick.

The blaze broke out at around 11pm last night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital Limerick.

No one else was in the house at the time.

Gardaí say they are not treating the fire as suspicious and believe it started accidentally.
