Water restrictions put in place by Dublin City Council will continue tonight and tomorrow night.

While a significant amount of water has been saved in recent days, the council said there is still a low level of treated water in storage due to production problems.

People may notice reductions in pressure or loss of supply from 9pm to between 7am and 9am throughout the entire city.

Water demand is also currently running higher than average due to the cold weather, which has caused an increase in leakage.

People are asked to report any leaks and are urged to restrict their use of water as much as possible.
