Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a shooting in Co Mayo last night.
A man in his 30s is recovering in hospital after the incident at Castlegrove Estate in Castlebar at 8.30pm last night.
The culprits are believed to have fled the scene in a bronze Audi car, which has not yet been located.
Gardaí believe that the incident may be linked to another shooting at the Mace Service Station in Castlebar on 6 January.
A relative of the person shot last night was shot in the incident in January.
The culprits on that occasion fled the scene in a black Golf GTI car, which has also not yet been recovered.
Gardaí are appealing for assistance from the public regarding sightings of either of the cars.
