Gardaí investigating the murder of Gerry Daly have released a man they had been questioning.
The 53-year-old man was arrested by gardaí in Co Cavan and questioned in Carrickmacross Garda Station in Co Monaghan.
He was released this afternoon and a file on the matter is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Mr Daly disappeared from his home in June 2011. His disappearance was original treated as a missing person investigation, but has since been upgraded to a murder investigation.
