Police in Northern Ireland are dealing with what they've described as serious disorder after a crowd of up to 100 people attacked officers in Newtownabbey in Co Antrim.

Five police officers were injured in the incident, but none required treatment.

Police said officers were attacked with bricks and bottles in the Carnmoney Road area.

A car was set on fire and a property was also damaged.

The trouble began at around 8.30pm.
