The 20-year-old man was shot two or three times in the upper body as he walked along Moorefield Avenue shortly after 7pm.

He is in a serious condition in Tallaght Hospital.

A car believed to have been used by the gunman and an accomplice was found burnt-out a short distance from the scene of the attack.
