Gardaí are investigating a suspected acid attack in west Dublin.
It is understood a man was attacked as he stood outside his house in Hollystown near Tyrrelstown at around 6am.
He was approached by a man who threw a liquid in his face.
The victim suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown before being transferred to St James’s Hospital.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
