Three separate seizures of cannabis have been made in Limerick, Wexford and Cavan with a total estimated street value of €900,000.

Cannabis with a street value of approximately €400,000 was recovered after a search in an open area in Ballyhahill, Glin, Co Limerick.

No arrests were made in connection with the case and investigations are continuing.

Separately, a man was arrested after an estimated €250,000 worth of cannabis was seized from a house in Co Wexford.

The plants were found in the house in at Ballybeg Great, Screen as part of an ongoing investigation by gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit attached to Wexford.

The 42-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the investigation is currently being detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man was arrested after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €250,000 was seized following a planned search of a house at Swellen Park, Cavan.

The man, who was arrested at the scene, is currently being detained at Cavan Garda Station.
