Peaceful rally held by loyalists outside Belfast City Hall

Several hundred loyalist protesters have taken part in a demonstration outside Belfast City Hall over the Union flag controversy.

The protesters were addressed by a number of speakers, including loyalist activist William Frazer.

The main road outside the City Hall was blocked for time during the protest.

A large number of PSNI riot police were on standby nearby but the rally passed off without incident and the crowd dispersed peacefully.
