A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Dublin.

A 30-year-old man was taken to Tallaght Hospital after he was found with a gunshot wound to the leg at Fairgreen in Saggart at around 12.15am.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A man in his 30s was arrested a short time later and is being held at Lucan Garda Station.

The scene at Fairgreen has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
