Gardaí are investigating a burglary at the home of a 69-year-old woman in Kilmacrennan, Donegal.
A man entered the house at around 3.45am and forced his way into her bedroom, where he threatened her and demanded money.
The raider fled the scene empty-handed.
The woman was not injured in the incident.
A 24-year-old man was arrested a short time later in connection with the burglary and is being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station.
