Two men have been arrested after drugs were seized in Kildare and Dublin.

Gardaí estimate that the drugs seized have a street value of up to €7m.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped two cars outside Naas in Kildare and seized 35kgs of heroin and cocaine.

Another 30kgs of cocaine and cannabis were found in follow-up searches in Celbridge, Kildare and Palmerstown, Dublin.

The two men in their 30s are being detained at Naas Garda Station.
