Up to 15,000 people have attended day two of the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition at the RDS in Dublin.

An estimated 45,000 visitors are expected to pass through the doors before it concludes on Saturday.

Projects on display range from road safety devices to social media, farming inventions to new apps, and habitable planets to cognitive tasks.

Judging continues tomorrow and the winner will be announced at an awards ceremony at 7.30pm tomorrow.
