Five men have been charged in connection with the murder of Monaghan teenager Jason McGovern last Sunday.

Mark Donnelly, 21; Aaron Bradley, 18; James O'Brien, 21; and Aaron Davis, 19 - who all have addresses in the Omagh area - were charged with affray. Mr Bradley was also charged with assault.

A 17-year-old juvenile cannot be named for legal reasons. All the defendants were granted bail under strict conditions.

An application for bail for the five accused was opposed by the police because detectives were worried about the possible interference with witnesses in the case.

However, the judge granted bail to all five on strict conditions.

They have to provide a surety of £2,000, live at an address away from Omagh, be electronically tagged, drink no alcohol, and report to police three times a week.

They are due back in court again in two weeks time.
