Gardaí in Limerick city have appealed for witnesses

A man in his 70s has died following a road crash in Co Limerick.

The crash, involving a car and a 4x4 vehicle, occurred yesterday afternoon near Lisnagry, on the N7 Limerick to Dublin road.

The man, 77, died in hospital last night.

A second man, 75, remains in a critical condition at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

The driver of the second vehicle was also hospitalised. The 48-year-old’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
