Appeal for witnesses in fatal road collision

Gardaí in Store Street are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Dublin on Tuesday.

A 48-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by two cars.

He was taken to The Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

He has been named as Alan Nolan from Dublin.

The incident occurred on Parnell Square West near the junction with Parnell Street.

The drivers of both vehicles, who have been identified as part of the investigation, were uninjured.

Investigating Gardaí are in particular appealing to anyone in the vicinity of Parnell Square West (close to the Rotunda Hospital entrance) between 12.05am and 12.15am to contact them.
