Residents wanted to highlight that they are about to spend a second Christmas out of their homes

Dozens of former residents of the evacuated north Dublin complex at Priory Hall have held a vigil outside the complex.

Supported by their families and friends, the former residents  held the vigil to highlight that they are about to spend a second Christmas out of their homes.

The complex was evacuated following a High Court order in October 2011 after serious fire safety problems were identified.

Since then the former residents have been housed temporarily in NAMA-owned properties.

However, work to fix the problems in the complex ceased a couple of weeks after the evacuation and has not resumed since.

Former residents tonight called on the relevant parties to come together to find a sustainable solution to their problems.
