Around 300 farmers were protesting over Budget cuts in Taoiseach Enda Kenny's constituency in Castlebar, Co Mayo.

IFA President John Bryan said farmers had incurred what he described as savage and unfair cuts to incomes.

Farmers say the low income livestock sector will be hit hardest.

They say Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney has targeted farmers who rely heavily on farm schemes.
