A 41-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man at an apartment in Ballymun in Dublin two weeks ago.
Jacky Lumi, of no fixed abode, and originally from the Netherlands, was charged with the murder of Kamal El Habsati, a Dutch citizen of Moroccan descent, who was working in Santry.
He was found stabbed to death at the Linnbhla Apartment Complex in Ballymun on 5 December.
His body had been there a few days before it was discovered.
The court heard Jacky Lumi was arrested at 1.15pm today at Ballymun Garda Station.
When charged with the murder at 2.50pm, he made no reply.
His solicitor Philip Hannon told the court Mr Lumi did not need an interpreter but asked that he receive appropriate medical attention as he suffers from depression.
Judge Cormac Dunne agreed to this.
There was no application for legal aid and the accused was remanded in custody to appear again at Clover Hill District Court next week.
