Minister for Justice Alan Shatter has condemned "obscene and targeted" anti-abortion posters in his constituency.
In a statement, Mr Shatter said posters were put up that targeted him with the slogan: "Every child matters, except to Alan Shatter".
The poster was accompanied by an "entirely outrageous and entirely inappropriate bloodied photograph" and the words "Stop abortion" underneath.
Mr Shatter said those responsible for the posters showed a "lack of humanity, insight and compassion" by their position of the posters near a school and reportedly near a crèche.
He pointed to his own record as someone "who has campaigned for many years for greater protection for children".
