Man to appear in court charged in connection with the death of a man struck by a bus

A man in his late 20s is to appear in court charged in connection with the death of a man who was killed after he was struck by a bus in Dublin city centre on Thursday evening.

He will appear in court on Monday morning.

It is understood that the victim was in an altercation before he met his death at the junction of Nassau Street and Dawson Street.

The victim boarded a Dublin bus in the Jobstown area of Tallaght, Dublin 24, just before 4pm on the day of the incident.

He disembarked in the Dublin 8 area about an hour later.
