Volunteers celebrated at awards ceremony

Volunteers from across Ireland have been celebrated at the Volunteer Ireland Awards tonight.

11 unsung heroes were presented with awards at a special event in Dublin City Hall.

The overall Volunteer of the Year 2012 went to Antrim midwife Jacqueline McAuley. Ms McAuley worked for two years in Ethiopia improving health care for babies and mothers.
