An investigation is under way after a man died in a single-vehicle road crash in Co Carlow.
The crash occurred shortly before 4pm at Slaneyquarter on the Tullow to Castledermot road around 3km outside Tullow.
The 42-year-old driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for a forensic examination, but it has now re-opened.
Gardaí are appealing for witness or anyone who may have information to contact them.
