A man in his late 20s has been arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of Darren Falsey last year.
Mr Falsey was shot dead at the front door of his home at Ashbourne Court, Ferney Road, Carrigaline in Co Cork in August 2011.
Gardaí recovered the handgun used in the shooting during a search of woodlands in north Cork in October of last year.
The man arrested today is currently being detained at Togher Garda Station.
He is the sixth person to be questioned in relation to the death.
