Four people have been arrested following an attempted break-in at a firearms dealer in Co Offaly.
Gardaí from the Emergency Response Unit arrested the three men, aged in their 20s and 30s, and a woman, aged in her 20s, in Rahan last night.
Two handguns were recovered along with balaclavas, gloves and a stolen car.
The four are believed to be from Dublin. Gardaí say the arrests were part of an ongoing operation into the activities of dissident republicans.
They are being held at Tullamore and Mullingar garda stations.
