Around 600,000 cigarettes and 11,000 litres of alcohol have been seized in Rathgorey, Co Louth.
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service uncovered 11 intermediate bulk containers of pure alcohol, along with pumps and filtration equipment at a commercial shed in the rural area.
The alcohol has a potential loss to the Exchequer of around €416,000.
The 600,000 'Brendal' brand cigarettes have a retail value of €282,000 and a potential loss to the Exchequer of €211,000.
