A former Irish rugby international player has appeared in court charged with indecently assaulting a child.
David Tweed, 53, from Ballymoney in Co Antrim denies the charges.
Mr Tweed is accused of abusing a girl, who is now an adult, on a number of occasions over a nine-year period.
The case has been ongoing but reporting restrictions which were in place were lifted today.
The alleged victim told the court she made the original complaint at Coleraine police station in 2007, but the judge was told that despite an extensive search, no record of such a report having been made was found.
Mr Tweed played for the Irish international rugby team and took part in the 1995 world cup.
He represents the TUV party on Ballymena council.
