PSNI detectives investigating the murder of Danny McKay in Co Antrim have arrested two men.

The PSNI said the two suspects, 41 and 50, have been taken to Antrim's serious crime suite for questioning.

Mr McKay, 36, was gunned down as he sat in the living room of his home at Longlands Road in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, on Thursday night.

He was shot several times by a gunman who fired from a stolen car, which was later found burned out in the west of the city.

The PSNI, which has called the shooting a brutal and ruthless attack, is investigating a possible drugs link.

The father-of-one had been known to police but was not considered to be a senior criminal.
