A special meeting of the Croke Park Implementation Body is to be held this week to discuss how to achieve further savings under the agreement.

Potential savings will be presented to public service unions and management for consideration on Thursday.

The meeting will be chaired by Taoiseach Enda Kenny, who last month asked every minister to consider ways of squeezing more savings from Croke Park.

Since then, the departmental responses have been studied by Minister for Public Expenditure Brendan Howlin, who will also attend the meeting.
