The Bill which provides for the Children’s Rights Referendum has passed all stages in the Dáil and will now go to the Seanad.

Minister for Children Frances Fitzgerald told the Dáil she welcomed the all-party support for the 31st Amendment of the Constitution (Children) Bill.

She said the legislation recognises that the needs of children are different to those of adults.
