A total of 53 people were arrested at music events at Marlay Park in Dublin over the past three nights.

Gardaí said the arrests were for public order and minor drugs offences.

Eighteen people were arrested on Thursday night with a further 35 arrested at Friday night's event.

Last night's concert by Van Morrison and Tom Jones passed off without incident.

A considerable amount of alcohol was seized or surrendered by concert-goers as they entered the park, despite repeated warnings not to bring alcohol to the venue.

Concert promoters MCD refunded over 412 ticket holders aged under 17 for the David Guetta concert as this was a strictly over-17s event.
