Thousands of people have taken part in the annual Pride Parade in Dublin.

Representatives of Amnesty International Ireland and the Irish National Teachers' Organisation took part.

Organisers estimate about 30,000 people took part in the event with up to 110,000 spectators.

The parade set off from the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Street and travelled along O’Connell St, College Green, Kildare St and Baggot St.

Celebrations continued with music and performances in Merrion Square.

Parade Director Christina Procter said the theme “Show Your True Colours” is a celebration of how gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people are as individuals rather than a protest of the issues affecting them.
