Cork teenager Joanne O'Riordan has issued a challenge to the international hi-tech sector to build her a robot to help improve her life.

The Millstreet girl, who was born without limbs, was speaking about the use of technology to an international gathering at the UN in New York.

The 16-year-old was chosen by the UN's Telecommunication Union to talk to an international gathering about her life's journey using technology.
