A child has been injured after she was hit by a train in Co Tipperary.
An Iarnród Éireann spokeswoman said the incident happened at around 7.10pm just outside Tipperary town, and involved the 6.50pm Limerick Junction to Waterford service.
The young girl was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel.
None of the eight passengers on the train or its driver were injured and the passengers were brought to their destinations by bus.
Iarnród Éireann, gardaí and the Railway Accident Investigation Unit are investigating.
