Work on the regeneration of Dublin's St Michael's estate has resumed after Dublin City Council withdrew a termination notice.
The council closed down the site last Friday claiming there were health and safety concerns.
However, the construction company involved, Bam, had threatened legal action saying that the Health and Safety Authority had found nothing to justify this action.
A one-week grace period on the termination notice was due to expire today putting up to 160 jobs at risk.
In an announcement today, Bam said that work will resume on the development of 75 housing units and a community centre following discussions with the council.
It is understood that a commercial dispute involving extra payments in the region of €5m demanded by Bam is ongoing.
